Fun in the afternoon

Braydon and my favorite afternoon activity has been hanging out on the deck. It has been about 80 degrees in the afternoon, so after his nap and snack I put him in a little swimmer and we are off to explore his pool, sand and water toy and anything else he can find on the deck. Sometimes we even get to see a family of deer. The one we see the most has 2 does, 2 fawns and a baby buck. The fawns look like twins. It definitely different from Orange County but it is one of the great things about being up here. Molly even joins us in the fun.

My cuisine experiment tonight was chicken tacos with Mango Salsa. The turned out delicious. I have been trying out recipes from my mom's diabetic cookbook and this recipe is a keeper!  I even substituted sweet pickles for the jalapeno peppers and it gave it the kick it needed without the spice. Braydon even ate some of the lime chicken.

Christian has been gone now 6 days, all of which Braydon has been teething.  Poor little guy is having a difficult time getting his molars. He constantly has a teething ring in his hand and mommy has been taking a lot of Tylenol.  Soon we will all get though it!

We had our music time today. I just love Wednesday mornings. It was a large group, probably about 15 mommies and kiddos. We played with egg shakers, sang songs, read a couple of books and meet other people in Grass Valley. I am hoping to make some friends in that group.

On a totally mommy note, I bought two pairs of the cutest earrings! I have a new favorite store, La Te Da. The owner is so sweet and helpful. I also bought my favorite jeans of all time there! That is quite a feat! Well enough for now. Sweet Dreams.

Sunny San Francisco

View of the San Francisco Bay
On another day when Daddy was home we decided to explore the Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco. We learned about the different animals that lived in the bay, explored the effects we have on the environment, touched bat rays and explored a tidal pool. We also had lunch at Fisherman's Wharf and walked around a couple of piers. It was the first time in a long time Christian and I had been to San Francisco. It is a beautiful city. I can't wait to go again soon!

I can't remember what these were but there were tons of them circling around and around.

Fun with Daddy

Christian was home for originally 4 days after being gone for 18. However, on his last day he cut his toe on a piece of glass and ended up staying a total of 11 days. We really enjoyed having him home. Here are some of the things we did.

We enjoyed hanging out in Fairytale Town in Sacramento. Each station you could insert your "magic key" and it would recite the story for you. There were either things to see or do at each Fairytale station. We all had a great time.

Fun with Oliver and Isaac

Braydon has met two new friends at church, Oliver and Isaac. Oliver is a few months older than Braydon and Oliver is a couple years older. We have been on a couple of play dates so far.

We enjoy going to the Story Time at the Nevada County Library and we have visited the park. It was Braydon's first time at the park. Mostly he just played in the dirt and ate his shovel, but at the end he discovered a fire truck he could play on and he really enjoyed that. Here are some pictures of our adventures with the boys :)
