Quick Catch Up

To say time has gotten away from me is a complete understatement. Since my last post Christian went back to Fire Season, Braydon turned 3 and had a Thomas and Friends Birthday, as well as started Preschool and our new addition Giuliana Sue was born and just turned 5 months old.I have also started MOPS and I am on Leadership Team this year helping with Moppets and Publicity. It has been a whirlwind in the Labbee household.

Right now I am getting ready for Thanksgiving. I have invited my parents, 2 sisters, Uncle, and 3 Grandparents over for dinner, this is in addition to my 2 kids and myself (Christian will be at work) so a total of 9 adults 2 kids in my small three bedroom apartment! It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I started on the Menu now to accommodate all the different variations of picky from diabetes, to red meat aversions to texture issues. I think I have finally came to a desired solution:

MENU

Appetizers:
Bacon wrapped water Chestnuts
Caramel Filled Apples

Main:
Turkey (brine and rubbed)
Stuffing (with lots of additions ie. cranberries, nuts spices)
Roasted sweet potatoes and pecans
Steamed Green beans
Mashed potatoes
Gravy (from drippings)
Crescent Rolls
Honey Butter

Pies:
Pumpkin Chiffon
Apple

Drinks:
Mulled Red Wine
Hot Apple Cider
Coffee
Ice Water with Lemon and Mint
